‘Honour’ Killings
Killing someone to save the honour of a family is a system of communal ‘justice’ that validates murders of family members, and is often supported by the local communal court Jirga and the local influentials.
Though men are targets of honor killings too but the majority of people who lose their lives in this system are women.

Jirga
Jirga is a communal court comprising local elders and influentials. Jirgas are known to sanction atrocities subjecting women to rape and muder.
